Dr. Brown completed a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the State University of New York at Albany in 1977. He attended Columbia University for graduate studies in Human Genetics until 1979 at which time he entered Georgetown Medical School. Upon graduation from Georgetown Medical School in 1983, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He continued training at Georgetown University for his internship and orthopedic surgery residency.

In 1988, Dr. Brown began his career at Blue Ridge Orthopaedic Associates. Since 1988, he has been a volunteer gross anatomy instructor at Georgetown Medical School. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.

 

Dr. Brown is a member of the Medical Society of Virginia and many other professional organizations. He performs surgery at Fauquier and has privileges at Haymarket Medical Center and Haymarket Surgical Center.
