David Kim, M.D.

Dr. Kim graduated from Pomona College in Claremont, California with a degree in economics. He earned his M.D. degree from New Jersey Medical School in Newark, N.J. After completing a year of internship at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, N.J., he completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the Howard H. Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, N.Y.U., Medical Center, New York, N.Y. During his residency, Dr. Kim also received medical acupuncture certification from the UCLA, Helms Medical Institute. Following his residency, Dr. Kim completed an ACGME-accredited interventional pain management fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. Dr. Kim is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is American Medical Association board certified in pain medicine. Dr. Kim's professional interests include interventional procedures, medical acupuncture, pharmacological management, as well as, electro-diagnostic studies (EMG/NCS) to diagnose and treat spinal disorders and complex regional pain syndrome (a.k.a. reflex sympathetic dystrophy). Dr. Kim joined the practice in 2003 and is the founder of our interventional pain clinic. He presently holds privileges at Fauquier Hospital.
